The decor of the Junior Suite was beautifully done, making us feel right at home. Although we faced long wait times for check-in and needed assistance, the overall experience was pleasant. The furnishings were tasteful, adding to the charm of our short stay. It’s a stunning place, but the service could use some improvement.

A fairytale stay in a stunning castle
Wow, what an experience! The staff here were so friendly, especially Ben who made everything special for us. Our room had breathtaking views and we loved the in-room breakfast. The only bummer was the weather, which didn’t let us enjoy the gardens fully. But seriously, if you want a magical getaway, this place is it!

Magical stay with incredible service
Just spent 2 nights in an amazing castle! The staff were super attentive, especially Paul who checked in on us. The grounds were stunning, and the in-room breakfast was delicious. Just a tad too far from other attractions, but totally worth it for the peaceful vibe. Can't recommend enough if you’re looking for a getaway!

missingWrote a review on Sept 23vast estatecozy librarydelicious mealsfrustrating service
Had a brilliant getaway with friends! The estate is vast, with lovely walks and an amazing library for cozy evenings. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the teashop and delicious meals. Definitely take advantage of the all-weather tennis court. Just note, the bathroom needs a little updating. Can't wait to go back!
We had a mix-up with breakfast times one morning, and it was a bit frustrating waiting for service after following the schedule. Just make sure to double-check timings.

glenapp castle is a real fairy tale place, the grounds are huge and so well kept, loved walking around the gardens. the staff was super welcoming and attentive, it really felt special. our room was spacious and cozy, and the sea view was just breathtaking. the food was delish and pretty fancy too, every meal felt like a treat.
however, we had a couple of hiccups, like waiting too long for room service and our shower didn't work properly. felt a bit let down with the service sometimes.

missingWrote a review on Aug 25staff interaction
This place was a well-suited match for a hurried visit in Ballantrae and offered good value. The staff were clearly overwhelmed, which made for a somewhat frustrating interaction at the gates. For anyone heading there, it's best to check availability before arriving for meals.

missingWrote a review on Aug 23stunning groundsdelicious disheslong waitinsufficient glasswareminor oversights
The location is breathtaking, with stunning grounds perfect for a leisurely stroll. The dining experience offered a variety of delicious dishes, although I expected more from the service given the castle's reputation. Arriving was somewhat disappointing. a long wait to check in left a less-than-ideal first impression. Our suite was comfortable but had minor oversights, like insufficient glassware and the lack of proper welcome amenities for our daughter. These small details undermined an otherwise beautiful setting, making the overall experience less memorable than anticipated.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our daughter was comfortable, even preparing her favorite meals. The six-course dinner was a culinary highlight, and the early morning tea made our stay feel truly special.

We had an unforgettable stay, enjoying a fantastic breakfast each morning and relaxing with a lovely massage in the spa. The garden area was a nice retreat, and we loved strolling through the beautiful grounds. Just a minor note, there wasn’t a mini bar in the room, but that didn’t take away from the wonderful experience! 🌟
